CRES Admissions 2022

CRES Admissions 2022

CRES (Christian Rural and Environmental Studies)  is a distance learning course usually taken over two years. If you are interested probably the best place to look first is our CRES Certificate page. Then you might have some questions. If that is the case try our Frequently Asked Questions page first!  If you still have questions then Contact Us. Then finally if you would like to apply download an Application Form and send it back to us with your payment (ONLY electronically at the moment).

It is possible to start CRES at any time of the year. CRES has the flexibility to deal with this, but one point to remember is that we only have one graduation event a year in September. So a student starting in, for example, January 2022 will have the choice of completing by September 2023 or September 2024.

The second important point is that in recent years CRES has become extremely popular. As we are almost entirely run by volunteers we cannot take large numbers of students. In 2021 we had to pause admissions until January 2022, as we were becoming overwhelemed with applicants. So in 2022 we have set a target of no more than 12 new students for the year. Once we reach that target we will pause admissions again. As of January 1st 2022, five of our waiting list from the previous year had signed up meaning that we have seven places left. We are trying to find ways of increasing our staffing so we can take more students, but this is not easy!
